Capital Video places job ads on Monster.com, a large employment site. We recently asked Monster to reject these ads, and we invite the public to contact Monster and support our request. We wrote:
I would like you to consider removing all job ads for Met-Cap Management/Capital Video from your site. Capital Video runs a large chain of hard-core porn shops. It is owned by a convicted criminal with mafia ties. Its latest brush with the law is taking place in Springfield, MA, where the police commissioner is seeking a hearing over license violations regarding drug sales and lewd activity on or around the store premises.
Capital Video makes its money from racist magazines (e.g. World of Black Bondage), magazines that glorify the physical restraint and whipping of women, movies like "Use Em’ Abuse Em’ & Lose Em’ #9" ("Ride along as we pick up ordinary young women f***'em senseless and dump'em! Your Internet campaign against this pornographer is the best that I have *ever* had the good fortune to come across. It is an honor to witness someone doing such A GOOD JOB AT KEEPEING THIS GARBAGE OUT OF OUR COMMUNITIES! I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT HOW I CAN HELP.

Ask Calvert (a socially responsible mutual fund firm) to divest from porn distributors
Patronize hotels that do not offer in-room adult movies
Counter the bad education of porn with better sex education in the schools
Report offensive billboards to the Outdoor Advertising Association of America
Attend "Pornography and Pop Culture: Reframing Theory, Re-thinking Activism", a conference at Wheelock College in Boston, March 23-25, 2007
