Capital Video's Revised Building Permit Application Fills in Details

NPN has scanned in Capital Video's revised porn shop building permit application (filed August 3) and provides it here as a PDF file:

Here are some of the highlights:
  • The application indicates that the owner of 135 King Street, Barry G. Goldberg, can be contacted at 320 Green Hill Road, Longmeadow, MA 01106.

  • The merchandise to be sold will be "DVD, Video, Novelty, Boutique products all of Adult theme"

  • The first floor contains 6,222 square feet of floor space, and the second floor 2,652 square feet, for a total of 8,874 square feet

  • The lot currently has 25 parking spaces. We recall that Kittery, Maine police have observed up to 60 cars parked around their Capital Video store (an approximately 4,000-square-foot store with 16 porn viewing booths)
The Gazette's Monday edition has a brief article on the new plans:

"[Northampton Building Commissioner Anthony] Patillo has now asked Capital Video for a business description in order to understand the operation. He expects the description and a surveyed plan, showing whether the store has the required 30 parking spaces, to be submitted on Tuesday. A decision on the business may come by the end of the week, he said."
