What Lies Behind Capital Video's Meriden Porn Shop

Capital Video's outlet in Meriden, CT is called Amazing.net. It contains private viewing booths. NPN took a trip on July 9 and surveyed the public areas around this shop. We found numerous blue gloves on the ground behind the building. Here is a picture of the front of the shop, then some from the back:

Similar activity is also reported in Capital Video's Portland, ME store and North Kingstown, RI store (PDFs, explicit).

      By themselves, the gloves prove nothing. However, in light of reports of hazardous trash around other porn shops with viewing booths, notably in Kittery, Maine, and in light of strong indications that Amazing.net shops are magnets for casual sex, it seems reasonable to suspect the gloves may in fact be hazardous trash. We hope representatives of Capital Video will make themselves available in Northampton to shed light on the subject.
