The Republican Reports on Proposed Porn Shop

June 29, 2006 - The Republican - ...Building Commissioner Anthony L. Patillo said "There's no live nudity (proposed). There's nothing in our zoning that restricts adult-themed stores. It only addresses live nudity...." However, Patillo said there may be an issue with the previewing booths because customers would have to pay to use the booths, which could come under a movie theater use. That use is permitted in the highway business zone, but parking could then become an issue. Patillo is meeting with the city's senior planner today to discuss the permit requests.

      For the record, we are not opposed to Oh My. The FAQ section discusses the differences between Oh My and the proposed porn shop on King Street.
